We had fried fish for dinner. Dessert was an upside down fruit cake.
It was card bingo night. I suggested that Gerry join us. Her daughter didn't think that she would want to play, but she did. I went ahead with mom and Donna to save a place for Gerry. When we got there, it was packed so I asked that another table be set up for Donna, mom and Gerry.
Gerry arrived 15 minutes late because she had trouble getting assistance to go to the washroom.
Gerry's daughter had to leave early, so I pushed Gerry's wheelchair back to the room after the activity. I think the ladies had a good time together.

Good Friday
Friday, March 25, 2016
Dropped by to see mom around 2:30. Mom and Donna were having yogurt and banana in the cafeteria. Soon, coffee and cake appeared. They feed the clients well here. Mom and Donna had hot turkey sandwiches with gravy for lunch. They seem to have enjoyed that.
Because the sun was shining, I decided to take mom outside for a walk. Donna said she would rest so that mom and I could spend some time together. Mom objected to putting her winter coat on, but I didn't want her to get cold. I couldn't remember the code to open the gate to go to the park so we just walked around the nursing home grounds. Mom was anxious about getting lost. We couldn't go back in the way we came, but I was able to the find another way in. Mom was relieved to get back to her room.
I brought mom a baby orchid and a box of chocolates.
She loved the orchid and the box of chocolates.
She shared the chocolates with her roommates, Donna and Gerry. She insisted they take 3 a piece. All the ladies were happy.
