To the dog park with the gang

I arrived at 6:15 pm and met Mom and Donna just walking into the fish tank room.
I asked them what they were going to do, but they seemed confused so I suggested we go for a walk to the dog park.  While I was signing the girls out at the nurses' station, Michael showed up so I had to go back and sign him out too.
We formed a line with me in the front and Michael in the rear.  I know he can't walk as well as Donna. Someone had left the gate unlocked again.  I will have to report that.
We didn't go as far as our usual bench because I wasn't sure if Michael could make it.
The four of us sat on the bench and watched the dogs in the dog park.  Michael said he grew up on a farm and had dogs.  Donna piped in and said her grandparents had a farm.  Michael said he was responsible for collecting eggs.  Donna said her grandma raised chickens as well.
My mom admired the sky.  Michael mentioned something about working at the airport and watching the planes fly in.  He pointed out the planes flying over.
There were a lot of dogs in the park.  Michael was able to identify a German shepherd.
I talked about Poochie, the stray dog that came to our barbecue and never left.  He didn't like to get his feet wet so mom had to carry him to the telephone pole when it rained so that he could take a pee.
He was spoiled.  Mom smiled and agreed that she spoiled him and maybe it wasn't right.
I passed around some cherries.  Michael only took one and the girls only ate 3 a piece although they enjoyed them very much.
Mom said she was getting cold so we decided to head back.
Mom set up some chairs in the TV room so that the 3 of them could sit together.  Michael went to sit outside on the deck because he liked to watch the sun set.
We had to get staff to help us turn the television on.  A couple came to join us.  I've only met them recently.  The husband asked if he could join us.  We watched something about a tennis match in Wimbledon between a Canadian, Milos Raonic and the winner, Andy Murray.   Mom used to really enjoy watching sports on television.  She used to watch tennis, but today she wasn't interested really.
She was just happy to be with friends.
