Bumped into Veronica? at the skytrain station. She said that mom was starting to have some difficulty counting 50 pennies and stacking them. Mom had asked her, "Why do we have to do this?" in English. Yikes! The therapist was wondering if it would help mom if she had the numbers in Japanese. I didn't think so. Poor Veronica.
Anna spotted me walking into the dining room and alerted mom. Mom had a big smile.
She had consumed her milk and apple juice and was half-finished her tea.
Dinner was beef stew, mashed potatoes and mixed veggies. Dessert was rice pudding. Yum!
Both Jacquie and Edward really like their sugar. Jacquie pours it in her coffee and on her rice pudding. Edward pours it on his meal. They pass the sugar container across the table. Jacquie slides the sugar across the table with such force things can get knocked over. Today it went off the table and Edward caught it. They enjoy their little game.
I bought some new clothes for mom. The shirt has to be shortened and so do the pants.
The gang was all there for card bingo. They were having a good time. The new guy kept coming around and tapping people on their shoulder and asking about work gloves and clothes. Finally I told him that he should ask at the nursing station and pushed him over there.
