A better day

Wednesday, January 30, 2019
Mom was sitting with the gang.  I gave mom some bubble wrap to occupy her.
She wasn't eating anything.  I ate dinner.  After I had finished dinner, I moved my chair to the other side of her.  After some resistance, she started to eat.  She ate about half her veggies and mashed potatoes.  She ate all her chocolate pudding and all her beverages.  She had about two bites of her banana.  I was happy with that.
Larry told me that he had already changed mom's diaper before dinner.
I took mom back to the room, but she wouldn't get out of her wheelchair.
I massaged her legs.  Her ankles were so cold!  I wonder if I should get her some leg warmers.
I got Chris to massage her legs too.  I gave her the hedgehog that Ethel had given her to hold.  She was so cute!  Chris took a photo, but she wasn't smiling.  I got mom's photo book and pointed to some photos of me and Chris when we were toddlers and mom smiled.  Chris got a good photo of her smiling.  Finally, we were able to get her to stand up.
We took her for a walk to the lobby.  We passed a balloon back and forth.  Mom insisted on including Chris.  We walked back to mom's room and returned her to the wheelchair.  We wheeled her out to the fish tank room to sit with Donna, Barbara and Zorka.
