Naughty Mr. Edward

Friday, September 2, 2016
Mom got served early for dinner and was already eating when I arrived.  She had already consumed her beverages.  My meal was not on the table, so I thought I would go to her room and deposit my stuff.
Someone had put clothes in the hamper.  Yay!  But, I still had to dig through mom's drawer and closet.  The 3 pairs of pants that Sumi had given her were there.  I think they might be too long.
When I got back to the table, my meal still wasn't there and mom had stopped eating.  She tried to offer me her dessert.  I think if I wasn't there she would have eaten everything.  Okay, maybe not the potato because it was baked and she would have had to scoop it out of the skin.
I scooped some potato out and she ate a mouthful and that was it.  I brought some cherry tomatoes and with some coaxing she ate 3.  I had to place them one at a time on her plate.  She said they didn't taste very good, but when we were in her room later, she said I could leave them for her.
Of course, mom ate all her dessert which was jello and white stuff (maybe Cool Whip?).
We had a baked potato, and Salisbury steak with mushroom gravy and peas.  The cook came out to inquire about the meal so we told her it was very good.
I gave Jackie half mom's potato because I knew mom wasn't going to eat it.
After dinner we went to the Horse Races.  As usual, Donna asked if we needed to bring anything.
Mr. Edward is naughty.  He throws the giant die into the cafeteria.  Ming first tried to stand in the way and then he blocked the path with a chair.  It's not that Edward can throw the sponge ball so hard, he rolls it.
I took mom downstairs to see Uncle Tom.  He was lying down.  He tried to get up when we arrived.  He is so weak, I had to help him sit up.  Then he tried to put on a cardigan, but was having difficulty so mom helped him expertly.   I was impressed.  The conversation was awkward.  He was embarrassed because his teeth weren't in.  I asked him if he needed any help taking off his sweater, but he said he would call the nurse if he needed assistance.  He told us to come again any time.
